Who we are.

DE Agency is a strategic fashion agency working with fashion and luxury brands internationally.

For anything relating to your personal data, including any of the requests set out below, write to contact@de-agency.com and it will reach the people responsible.

What we collect.

When you send an enquiry or book a call, you give us:

• Your first and last name
• Your email address
• Your company or brand
• Your website or social profiles
• Where you are based
• Anything you choose to write in your message

When you pay for a call, the payment is processed by Stripe. Card details go directly to Stripe and never reach us. We receive only confirmation that a payment succeeded and the amount.

If you accept cookies, we also collect statistics about how the site is used, such as which pages are viewed, which country and approximate city a visit came from, and what referred it. This uses a random identifier stored in your browser so that returning visits can be counted. It does not tell us your name, and it is not linked to your enquiry.

Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and reliability.

Why we use it.

• To reply to your enquiry and deliver the services you ask for. Our legal basis is performance of a contract, or our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us
• To take payment and keep accounting records. Our legal basis is performance of a contract and our legal obligations under applicable accounting law
• To understand how the site is used so we can improve it. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in running the site well

We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising or profiling, and we do not send marketing emails unless you ask us to.

Cookies.

When you first arrive we ask whether you accept analytics cookies. Nothing analytical is loaded until you say yes, and declining is a single click that carries the same weight as accepting.

If you accept, we use Google Analytics to measure how the site is used. We do not use it for advertising, we do not run advertising features on it, and we do not sell or share the data with anyone for their own purposes.

Stripe sets cookies that are necessary to process a payment securely and to prevent fraud. These apply only if you begin a booking.

You can change your mind at any time. Review your cookie choice.

Who we share with.

We use a small number of providers who process data on our behalf, under contract, and only on our instructions:

• Stripe, for payments
• Google Analytics, for site statistics, if you have accepted cookies
• Zoho Mail, for email
• Our hosting provider, for serving the site

We may also share information where we are legally required to do so.

Where it is held.

Our providers are based in the European Economic Area and the United States. Google Analytics in particular transfers data to the United States. Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, it is protected by the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission, or an equivalent safeguard.

How long we keep it.

• Enquiries that do not become work: up to 24 months, then deleted
• Client records and correspondence: for the length of the engagement and 7 years afterwards
• Accounting and payment records: 7 years, as accounting law requires
• Google Analytics data: 14 months, which is the shortest retention Google offers

Your rights.

Under the GDPR you can ask us to:

• Give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correct anything that is wrong
• Delete it, where we have no continuing reason to keep it
• Restrict how we use it, or object to us using it
• Send it to you or to another provider in a portable format
• Stop using it where you had given consent, by withdrawing that consent

Complaints.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your data, tell us first and we will try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority.

In the United Kingdom this is the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. Elsewhere in Europe it is the data protection authority for the country you live in.

Changes to this policy.

If we change how we handle personal data we will update this page and change the date below.
